Thinking of Division as Multiplication
My S1 class now seem to know their times tables better but keep telling me division is much more difficult. We have talked a lot about arrays and fact families for multiplication and division so I'm hoping this task will help their thinking further.

Trigonometric Ratios
My S3 class have been studying Right-Angled Trigonometry. I think this will be a good task for them to try which also involves Pythagoras and will be beneficial to later learning.
I will also be using this soon with my Higher class before they start looking at Addition and Double Angle Formula. Textbooks seem to just go ahead with answering questions involving two different angles. I'm hoping this scaffolded task will help pupils tackle Addition and Double Angle Formula more effectively.

Simplifying Fractions
The word CANCELLING in Maths is a bugbear of mine as pupils start crossing terms out in fractions, most without an understanding of what they are actually doing. This task should allow hopefully pupils to organise their thoughts better on this as they sort expressions into categories of expressions which simplify and those which don't.

Preparing for Calculus
I've put this resource together as Higher classes always struggle to apply knowledge of fractions and indices so they can prepare expressions for calculus. I'm hoping by giving more attention to this that pupils will feel more comfortable with this.
